A one-of-a-kind handknitted baby matinee coat made from 100% merino wool in rich red and natural ecru, with a softly gathered traditional silhouette and a fully lined interior.
Description
The coat features contrasting natural ecru borders at the cuffs, hem and front edges. Gentle gathering through the lower body creates the fuller matinee shape, while the entire coat, including the sleeves, has been individually lined in red tartan-print cotton fabric. The lining adds warmth and structure while giving the inside the same considered finish as the exterior.
The finishing details are an important part of this piece. Each button has been individually covered by hand in the coordinating tartan-print fabric and paired with handknitted fastening loops. The same fabric is carried through the lining, creating a deliberate connection between the interior and the small details visible on the outside.
This is an original Crafty Pebblers design, individually knitted, lined and finished by Pat in the Boyne Valley, Co. Meath, Ireland. The coat is shaped in the knitting, fully lined, and finished with individually covered buttons.
Made from fine merino wool and cotton, it is naturally soft and breathable while providing a warm outer layer for a new baby.
Sized for approximately newborn to 3 months. Please check the measurements before purchasing, as fit is best determined by finished measurements rather than age alone.

We currently ship to Ireland and Northern Ireland only, using An Post tracked delivery. Shipping is €7.00. European shipping is not currently available.
